Scenic Ride with Views of Mountains and Meadows
Family-Friendly Ride – Suitable for Ages 7 and Up
This one-hour relaxed horseback ride takes you through the scenic landscapes of South Iceland and is perfect for beginners and less experienced riders – starting from age 7. You’ll get to know the Icelandic horse, known for its friendly character and five gaits, including the unique tölt.
The ride takes place in tranquil surroundings around the farm Vellir in Ölfus, just a 30-minute drive from Reykjavík. We ride through open meadows and enjoy magnificent views of green fields and nearby mountains – a great introduction to Iceland’s natural beauty and riding traditions.
This tour is available year-round and must be booked at least one day in advance.
