Black Beach Riding tour in Vík

Our Black Beach Riding tour is a relaxed and cozy one-hour tour, perfectly suited for beginners and those who don’t ride often. The tour takes place in the spectacular landscape around Vík and brings you out to the magnificent black sand beach, Víkurfjara.

This scenic ride gives you the opportunity to experience Iceland’s unique nature up close as you ride along the roaring sea and take in the views of the dramatic rock formations that characterize the area. Víkurfjara is known for its raw beauty and fascinating contrast between the black sand, the white sea foam, and the green mountains in the background.

The highlight of the tour is of course the amazing Icelandic horses – a special and sturdy breed that has lived in isolation in Iceland for over a thousand years.
