Secret Lagoon Iceland

What is not to like? Secret Lagoon, the natural hot spring, is located in the small village called Fluðir in the Golden circle area in Iceland. If you have a car, you can visit the famous waterfall Gullfoss (the golden waterfall) and the geysers (Geysir, is the most famous one) as well in the same trip.

The Secret Lagoon has been kept natural and unique for guests, so they can get the true Icelandic feeling.  You will get a magical feeling bathing in the hot springs with the unique natural surroundings and white steam rising into the air. The warm water stays about 38-40 degrees Celsius (100-104 °F) all year around, so it is also wonderful to visit Secret Lagoon in the wintertime. In the area you will find several geothermal spots that make it all very unique and special. For example you will see the little Geysir that erupts every 5 minutes, showing off for the guests relaxing in the Secret Lagoon. During winter, the northern lights often give a great lightshow above Secret Lagoon. Seeing dancing northing lights when relaxing in the warm water, it can’t get any more Icelandic than that.

Facilities at Secret Lagoon

The Secret Lagoon offers brand new facilities next to the hot springs with separated showers for women and men, a bar and a dining area. Please note that Secret Lagoon does not serve food daily, but they offer snacks and drinks for purchase.
