Glacier Hike Iceland – popular glacier tour in Iceland with stunning views

A hiking tour on Sólheimajökull glacier is the perfect way to spend the day in Iceland. The tour is available all year around with pick-up in Reykjavik or a meet on location at Sólheimajökull glacier. After your pick-up from your accommodation in Reykjavik, we will drive east to get to the glacier. When we arrive at the glacier, you will receive the necessary glacier equipment as well as a safety introduction form our professional guides. After a short but very scenic walk across the pitch-black volcanic sand and ash, we arrive at the Sólheimajökull glacier. Here you will put on your crampons and take your first steps onto the magnificent glacier. This glacier hike is an adventure like no other, where you get to explore this otherworldly natural wonder. Experience the mesmerizing shapes and colors of the ice, created by fire and ice, over thousands of years.

The hike is about 2 hours where 1-1.5 hours are spent on the Glacier.

For those who choose the roundtrip with pick-up in Reykjavik, we will make stops at three magnificent natural attractions on our way back to Reykjavik. Here you will experience the two waterfalls Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss and the beautiful Reynisfjara beach.
