Join us on this adrenalin pumping ATV 4x4 adventure in Iceland. Experience the beautiful nature on the south coast and see one of the famous attractions in Iceland, the DC3 plane wreck.
We offer this tour with pick-up from Reykjavik and as a meet-on-location activity. Book this tour with or without pick-up on our booking machine. The ATV-tour starts with an introduction to the ATV bikes and to safety. Now we are ready to jump on the ATV bikes and drive through the black sand beach, created by a volcanic eruption from the volcano Katla.
We will drive through small rivers and beautiful landscapes. On the beach we will stop and enjoy the amazing view up to Mýrdalsjökull glacier (dependent on the weather) and along the coast to Dyrhóley peninsula, the southernmost part of Iceland.
We will drive along the coast to the famous DC3 plane wreck, which has been resting in the black sand since 1973. After a stop at the plane wreck, we will continue to the glacial river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. We will follow the road along the mountain back to the base.
This ATV-tour gives you the opportunity to get in touch with an amazing and raw lava landscape. An unforgettable experience in a fascinating nature that envelopes the traveler in its warm embrace.
If you choose this tour with pick-up in Reykjavik, expect this to be a day-tour, where the adrenalin pumping ATV-tour will be combined with sightseeing on the south coast. The day starts with an early pick-up from your accommodation in Reykjavik. We will then drive through the beautiful nature along the south coast. Once we get to the ATV base camp you will join the ATV-tour. On your way back to Reykjavik, you will stop at the two magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.
Please note: All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid driver's license. A learner's permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient according to Icelandic law.
