Super Jeep and Landmannalaugar in Iceland

The tour starts in Reykjavik, where you will jump on the big super jeep and drive through the lush southern Iceland. If the weather permits it, you will be able to see the snow-covered top of the volcano Hekla. Hekla’s next eruption is long overdue and is expected to happen anytime – who knows, maybe you will get to experience it from this great view. Since the settlement of the Vikings in Iceland, Hekla’s 20-30 eruptions have varied between small tourist attractions to big and destructive eruptions. It is not strange, that Hekla is called the gateway to hell for the condemned souls. If the conditions allow it, we might get all the way up to the ridge of the mountain where the air is clean and the view breathtaking.

We will continue through the unreal Icelandic highland that has a nature like no other place on earth. This is also the set for many big movies and tv-series such as the popular series Game of Thrones. In Landmannalaugar you will get the chance to go for a hike or a dip in one of Iceland’s famous natural geothermal pools, or you can do both! Once you have untwined in the hot pools we will jump on the super jeep and continue through the surreally beautiful landscape. We will make a stop at Gjáin, which is one of the many filming locations from the tv-series Game of Thrones, before we head back to Reykjavik.
