Iceland is not only one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with it’s spectacular nature, beautiful mountains, large waterfalls, glaciers and hot springs, there are also a lot of other things you can do and explore, both in Reykjavik and out in the country side.

You might have decided to spend your holiday in Iceland. What can you expect? You can expect the country´s beautiful nature and views over landscapes you never experienced before.

Iceland is often called the Land of Fire and Ice because of it’s many volcanoes and huge glaciers. You will find nature like no other in Iceland, nature with sharp contrasts and beautiful colours.

In Iceland you will find high and colourful mountains, large waterfalls, black beaches, lava fields, glaciers and hot springs. You will find beautiful national parks in Iceland, like the Golden Circle (including Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir), Skaftafell (Vatnajökull, the largest glacier) and Landmannalaugar. (Often called the queen of the highlands.)

An active family vacation in Iceland

Besides experiencing the beautiful nature of Iceland, you might want to enjoy an active family vacation and try out different activities that Iceland has to offer.

You can for example try riding the wonderful Icelandic horse in its natural environment (it is the pure bread horse breed that the Vikings brought with them when they found Iceland in the 870 A.D.). The horse is good-tempered riding horse and has 5 gates. The most famous gate is the Tölt.

You can also join one of our rafting tours on glacier rivers, or a hiking tour in one of the beautiful mountains in Iceland, with breath-taking views.

Perhaps you might just want to enjoy a relaxing holiday, with a visit to the Blue Lagoon and some other remarkable natural hot springs in Iceland.

We also offer a great variety of day tours where you can combine one or more activities, in case you want to experience more in one day.
